Your True Identity

If you are trusting in Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, this is who you are now:

 

You Are...

Born Again:

1 Peter 1:3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. NASB

A New Creation:

2 Cor 5:17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. NKJV

John 1:12-13. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

NKJV

Saved:

Eph 2:4-5. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved). NKJV

A Saint:

1 Cor 1:2. To the church (assembly) of God which is in Corinth, to those consecrated and purified and made holy in Christ Jesus, [who are] selected and called to be saints, together with all those who in any place call upon and give honor to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours. AMP

Rom 1:7. To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: NKJV

Complete:

Col 2:9. For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body, 10 and you are complete through your union with Christ. NLT

Holy and Blameless:

Col 1:22. Yet now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. NLT

Washed, Sanctified, and Justified:

1 Cor 6:11. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. NKJV

Righteous:

Rom 5:9. And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's judgment. NLT

Redeemed:

Gal 3:13. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"). NKJV

Reconciled (Made a Friend of God):

2 Cor 5:18: All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: NIV

Forgiven:

Col 2:13. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses. NKJV

Alive:

Eph 2:4-5. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).

Rom 6:11. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. NKJV

Free:

Rom 8:2. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. NKJV

John 8:36. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. NKJV

Seated with Christ in Heavenly Places:

Eph 2:6. And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, NKJV

A Chosen Generation, a Holy Nation, a Royal Priesthood:

1 Peter 2:9-10. But you are a chosen generation , a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. NKJV

 

Blessed with Believing Abraham (Blessed and Highly Favored):

Gal 3:9. So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. NKJV

Luke 1:28. And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!" NKJV

Crucified with Christ:

Gal 2:20. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. NKJV

More Than a Conqueror:

Rom 8:37. Yet in all these things (tribulations, adversities, stresses, heartaches, disappointments, temptations, etc…) we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. NKJV

Blessed with Every Spiritual Blessing in the Heavenly Places:

Eph 1:3-4.  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. NKJV

Loved:

1 John 4:9-10. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. NKJV

A Son:
